How does billing work?

If you have insurance, such as OHP or blue cross/blue shield, your insurance will be billed.  You may be billed for anything uncovered by your insurance.  If you do not have insurance, your fees will be based on a sliding scale, dependent on family size and income.  Your portion of your copay or sliding scale fee is expected at time of visit, though if it is more than $10-$20, you may request a payment plan.

Family Planning/Birth Control is obtained through federal and state funding, as part of the Family Planning Expansion Project, so low cost or free birth control is available with or without insurance.  The Family Planning Expansion Project was implemented in January of 1999 as a five-year Medicaid project to expand coverage for family planning services. The goal set forth for FPEP is to reduce unintended pregnancies and improve the well being of children and families.
